About Us

We are an Army family living and serving in Colorado.  We strive to serve God in all we do.  This blog is a chronicle of our life as a family, homeschoolers and frequent movers.  Our children are Pickles, age 11 and Buddy, age 9.  We have homeschooled from the beginning.  Buddy was adopted from Guatemala as an infant.  He was diagnosed with autism in the past year.   We are still learning all we can and adapting to this diagnosis.  I do have  a teaching certificate in special education, which helps some.  Each child is a unique creation of God and it really takes a lot of studying and knowing a child more than book knowledge.  I hope that I am able to share some ideas for parenting/homeschooling the child with ASD and homeschooling, in general.  You can also find me blogging over at the 2:1 Conference!

Disclosure:  I am currently an affiliate with Grapevine Studies, Amanda Bennett Unit Studies, Currclick and  All About Learning.  I may occasionally include links to these companies in my posts, for which I will earn a small commission, if something is purchased.  All commissions will go toward our hope of doing an African mission trip as a family.  Thanks for your support!
